The Otley Apothecary Natural Health Store & Treatment Centre

I qualified as a medical herbalist in 2003 after completing the 3 year BSc degree in Herbal Medicine at the University of Central Lancashire and becoming a member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists and have been working as a full-time herbalist ever since. I am still mainly based in Otley, West Yorkshire but since moving house in 2010, I have also been seeing patients in Bedale, North Yorkshire.

As a herbalist, I'm passionate about introducing others to a life of natural health and the fabulous world of herbs and herbal medicine. This led to the opening of my natural health store The Otley Apothecary in 2005. The store has a Treatment Centre upstairs offering a full range of complementary therapies by fully qualified practitioners as well plenty of space to host workshops and other special events.

The store itself offers health foods, supplements and natural beauty, bodycare and homecare products. Plus, of course, a herbal dispensary with a full range of dried herbs, tinctures, creams and oils and advice from a qualified medical herbalist!

I also regularly give talks and run workshops and my herb walks are a popular way to learn more about the medicinal plants found all around us.
